Best city in the world to live and visit. I lived there for a year so I'm in love with Barcelona, I studied Spanish in school Enforex and also went to a graduate degree in Marketing Universitat Pompeu Fabra (great university and for those who have European citizenship, It has amazing discounts). It is noteworthy that did all this without these traditional exchange companies, all I did was researched on the internet and picked up tips from others.
There is everything a person might want to: beaches, mountains, ballads, museums, churches, pretty people, tourists from all over the world, Language schools, universities and restaurants where you eat very well, unlike some places in Europe.
The city is bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, It is located southeast, near the border with France (1 hour and a half drive to the border), It is in the state of Catalonia.
As is located in the city Catalonia has two official languages that are: Spanish and Catalan (the second in my view is a mixture of 4 languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian), so it was and remains a breakaway region, but different from the Basque country does not want independence for the fight, fight for direct in politics.
How to get
The Brazil of course by plane, direct flights only by the airline company Iberia (Spanish cia), all others make stops or connections before you get there.
In Europe, You have several transportation options: bus, Normal train, high-speed train, airplane, ship and car. If plane, careful because Barcelona has 2 airports, one in the city (The field) and other out of town with 1 hour away called Girona (lowcost companies like Ryanair - land there).
