April 5, 2019Blagaj It is a haven of peace and harmony with nature, the city is very close to Mostar, Blagaj, this charming little town of Bosnia and Herzegovina, It is an important monument of the Ottoman era first country.
The city's mystique, it's the rio Good, the best example of a River with much limestone and underground, it comes out of a stone mountain with 200 meters high, creating the river Buna, a beauty unique to see a river to go out from the stone, what an amazing place, It has a part where you can enter a boat in a cave where it comes from groundwater.
For being such a magical place, the Ottoman sultan was impressed and built the Tekija monastery mountain next to the banks of the river.
O mosteiro Tekija the sixteenth century was built for the worship, and remains one of the most mystical places in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is open to visitors throughout the year.
Before reaching the monastery, on the street there are several shops selling honey pots and souvenirs. Traditional dishes of them are meat drizzled with wine, we were eager to stick around and have lunch at one of the restaurants on the river banks, next to the monastery and the mountain, but it was too early, We went right after breakfast because we were coming from Mostar and heading toward Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia.
Glad we stopped in this small town to see this beauty of nature, an underground river that comes from inside the mountain creating the Buna River.
If you visit the place try to go near lunch time to eat in the charming restaurants there.
On this trip we were making a screenplay by Bosnia and Montenegro, two countries that surprised us very positively, in terms of nature and culture, travel only increases our understanding of life in general.
