How to get to Cala Napoletana, in the Sardinia region
July 29, 2021Find out here how to get to beach or Cala Napoletana, one of the most beautiful beaches of Italy, in the Sardinia region, to reach it has a track 1 hour.
A Cala Napoletana it's in Caprera Island one of the islands that are part of the La Maddalena archipelago, the islands that are part of this archipelago are: Caprera, break, Saint Stephen, Santa Maria, Budelli and Razzoli, and all these islands are north of the island of Sardinia in the Mediterranean Sea.
To go to Sardinia, there are ferry and plane options from several cities, plane can reach by Cagliari and Olbia, the latter was where we arrived in Sardinia, coming from Barcelona, from there we rented a car and went to La Maddalena, the main island of the archipelago, from Olbia to La Maddalena there is a road part and a ferry boat part to cross the islands.
In La Maddalena was where we stayed, no Blu Residence Baita, only the island of La Maddalena and Sardinia that have hotels to stay, the other small islands don't have hotels.
From La Maddalena Island to Caprera Island where the Praia Napoletana, there is a bridge that connects the islands, once inside the island, you have to drive towards the Garibaldi Fort and Museum, this link has the location of the fort, there we left our car and started the trail.
Trail to the beach or Cala Napoletana
The trail to Cala Napoletana starts on the side of the fort., is more or less 1 hour walk, down a trail that is not very easy, it's just a little long, but you can go quietly children and older people.
The trail is about 2 km long starting at the top and ending at this wonderful beach. On the trail has directions to follow.
A hint, go early to Cala Napoletana, because you have to guarantee a place for the car and another for you on the beach, which is not very big but is very beautiful, another thing, arriving early you will see the color of the sea even more beautiful due to the position of the sun, because in the afternoon the water is not sooo crystal clear.
We recommend taking food and water for the trail and enough for later as well., to be able to stay on the quiet beach, because there has bars, restaurants or street vendors is an unspoilt beach, Wonderful, without any infrastructure.
We hope you enjoy this beautiful paradise.
