Copenhagen
February 15, 2016Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, one of the world's oldest monarchies, is the third, the city is located on the Baltic Sea coast, right in front of Sweden, so that there is a bridge linking the two countries, within a 25km.
We stayed four days in the city, long enough to know the main attractions, We went from there to Dublin, a flight of our dear Ryanair (usually got great prices), the airport is very close to the city, we were subway, for there was a well near the apartment we rented station, speaking in rent since we moved to Ireland only we use AirBnB on our travels, the price is much cheaper than staying in hotel (when it stays above 3 days, very worthwhile) It is super comfortable, because we have a whole house just for us (so we prefer). But you can also choose, just rent a room in the house if you prefer.
Things to Do in Copenhagen and what are the main attractions of Copenhagen
On the first night, we arrived late, the plane was delayed 1 hour, we were tired from the trip and stayed at home drinking beer talking in beer there is the factory of Carlsberg that one can visit we had no time to go if you want to go can buy advance tickets here, You can buy running, the market next to the apartment (alcoholic beverages in Europe, markets, usually sold by ace 22h)
Our location was excellent, we were near the Botanical Gardens and Rosenborg Castle, there are stored the crown jewels, It is a great castle that deserves the visit, be sure to go and stay in this region suggest that we.
In the second day we woke up early, because as we were in winter, this time of year the sun sets too early, ace 16 hours was quite dark, the first stop was Botanical Garden it is a beautiful place, even in winter and you can still get warm inside the greenhouses, there does not need to pay to get, then from there we went to Rosenborg Castle and no Gardens Rosenborg,as I said above, It is a place that you must visit and is inexpensive and with student card is still cheaper, we pay 6 EUR half price, and the grounds are beautiful.
Continuing the tour we were on Eastern High Engineering Parque, the park did not find it very beautiful, but it is standing in the way of the attractions we choose to know.
From there we got in Kastellet an ancient fort with a wall surrounded by a lake, inside the wall has a windmill, the inside of the wall has a beautiful view of a town, vale a pena.
The next stop was the Little Mermaid which is a statue in honor of the writer (Hans Christian Andersen) and character.
Second day, passed the Museum of Design we decided not to enter, but they say that is cool and grace.
We also went by Roman Catholic Diocese of Copenhagen, on the same street is the Church of Marble which has an amazing dome and is very beautiful, there were many crowned kings and queens of Denmark.
Opposite the church is the Amalienborg Palace you can also visit, but as we had already gone to Rosenberg Castle did not go, there like at Buckingham Palace, there is the changing of the guard every day at 11:30h.
At the end of the second day we arrived at most famous street in Copenhagen, where everyone takes pictures, whenever we speak of the city appears this photo lol, It is a street with the famous canal and its colorful houses, there has several restaurants and bars, only the price is well salted, We take a beer in a trailer and only, then we went home but we were freezing cold.
Third day, We started the day going in churches of St. Peter (St. Peter´s Church) and Copenhagen Cathedral are churches beautiful and only, nothing very interesting, then there were the Round Tower (The Round Tower) this tower you can climb, you have to pay, but it is quite cheap, I turn to 3 euros, the climb is done on a ramp, super quiet, in the middle of the ramp has a cafe and loft of the church, who is leaning against the tower and can access the church by the tower, the church calls Trinity Church, It is not as pretty as the Church of Marble, at the end of the ramp has a huge clock of signs and a mini ladder, from above, in the tower lookout, you see the whole city, very beautiful.
We follow the map that we created for the visit of the city, as follows, since we arrived in Ireland to live, on every trip we make, We create a road map with Google Maps for mobile, and put stars (favoritamos local, so you can see and track the sites that we want to know) see how the map is. Even if you have no internet on the street, google maps works offline with your GPS position, then a tip, connect the map in a wifi, let saves the information and when in the street he will work for you.
Continuing, we went to Stork source (Stork Fountain) which I was having a Christmas fair, We take the opportunity to eat a hotdog stall delight in German, then from there we went to Christiansborg Palace (Christiansborg Palace) and no Danish Parliament (Danish parliament) You can visit the palace, but it was expensive and did not want to waste time, I still had a lot to visit and the main attraction of this day was the Tivoli Park, but for those who have time, the palace seems to be very beautiful, we saw some brochures that will yield up to visit, even at the time we were there, who started a mega strong rain, but thankfully it passed quickly and we were there to spend, otherwise we would have frozen.
Then there passed by Holmen church and the Børsen, just to take pictures, from there we went to Garden Library and the Jewish Museum, We do not enter into any of them.
With all this walking, we had to hurry because the missing while to get dark and we wanted to take the Tivoli park Day and evening, Our last destination of the day, this amusement park is one of the oldest in the world, second some research is the second, the park is very beautiful but very, further with Christmas ornaments, We stayed there for a 5 hours, there have many toys, several restaurants and bars on one of them was going happy hour and logical took the opportunity to take a beer pints, after meeting the entire park, We played only on a toy race horses (kind of bozo, for those who remember lol, you had to pick a horse and stay a shooting balls into a pocket, for him to walk, what came first, won, but none of us got).
The park entrance is not very cheap, I turn to 25 Euro per person and has a package in ticketbar which includes the ticket for the park plus a tour of the city's other attractions, and toys are paid part, but you have a ticket that you can play in all, but it is more expensive and do not remember the amount, but it is a place that you must visit. In the winter, each type has huge pots, with burning charcoal, around the park where you can warm the body and hands, are wonderful and lifesaving. I and Pri these were some pots 5 times, during the walk in the park lol.
In the fourth and final day, we can walk through the owner of the apartment we rented, have left we go out ace 17 hours, so we went by subway to the alternative neighborhood and what is called other country, called Christiania, It is a hippie neighborhood, which has sold drugs illegally in stalls, and the people selling are with his face covered, there is still forbidden to sell, It is a different place, worth knowing. This house down is the architectural symbol of Christiania.
Taking advantage of the day was sunny and we still had enough time, we were again in the same places to take pictures with the beautiful day that was (because the first day was cloudy). And we saw the Ópera House (linda) the other side arm, near the Marble Church.
So ended our trip to Copenhagen, but in time to go to the airport we went wrong the subway we should pick up and we ended up elsewhere, nearly died of heart when we realize, but thankfully always we left with enough time in advance and managed to get the flight time, we make mistakes because we were at the station, in the same way subway, passes two different lines, It was to give lol emotion.
