Palma de Mallorca - Balearic Islands

Palma is one of the Balearic Islands, located in the Mediterranean Sea, belonging to Spain, It is close to the coast Barcelona and Valencia.

These islands are paradise, Palma It has stunning beaches with very clear water, an incredible blue, also has ancient attractions to meet on the days you do not want to go to the beach (we did not go), the heat there is wonderful.

We went there after 28 day trip in Eastern Europe (Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Plitvice, Split, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, Cappadocia, Moscow e Are Petersburg), after so many places we wanted a beach to rest, take sun, stand with your feet up, eat a great Mediterranean food and drink a cold beer and well managed.

It was last minute choice in the middle of the trip, It was not in our plans, what happened was: when we arrived at the Guarulhos airport to board, a TAM I had changed our flight back in a few minutes and this gave the opportunity we exchanged our flight again, without spending anything extra and stay two more days in Europe, because the longer we travel, It is better lol. But then we had to decide where to go these 2 days more without wasting money and time. All though we were on one side of Europe and went to the other, detail were Russia, then we went to Frankfurt and from there went to Spain, but it was super and worth, the time helped us we would lose hours just winning, it was great.

Getting Palma

• Airplane, as above commented, we left St. Petersburg to Frankfurt and bought a new passage from Frankfurt to Palma, flights are very cheap by buying in advance, or outside the summer season, we pay a little more expensive, for last minute decided.

• By ship, leaving Barcelona and Valencia, the path is very long about 8 hours, but it must be beautiful.

Comer
As we were a few days, only two, We ate at two restaurants near our hotel, one day a stupendous dinner Paella with black rice, we love a lot, but this restaurant was not as attached to the hotel, so we got there like a crazy, half wet with beachwear, after all we had to make the most, but I assume it was with a bit of shame because most people were semi tidy, but ok I'll never see those people lol, oh and the waitress was Brazilian, super friendly and the second day we ate a very good Paella also, this was very close to our hotel, I have the impression that all the restaurants there are great.

Where to stay
As we wanted to rest from the trip and also be roasting in the sun drinking beer, we stayed at Melia Palas Atenea, this hotel is facing the sea, with pool, great location, no hotel wi fi all, but did not include breakfast, but all right next to the hotel has a lot of places that offer cute and super cheap. The hotel is excellent.
